Hi there! You've reached my personal journal. I normally add people who have similar interests, however, I am very open to anyone who wants to be friends. :) If you would like to be added, or, if you've been cut and would like to know why, please click here. I'm currently entering my third year of university, doing a double-major in Piano Performance and Music History. Music means a great deal to me, though, despite my obvious interest in classical music (and Beethoven in particular ♥) I enjoy listening to a variety of artists. Some of my favorites include: Celine Dion, Blackmore's Night, Loreena McKennitt,The Hush Sound, Basia Bulat, Nightwish, Sarah Brightman, Within Temptation, Elisa, Oren Lavie, Lesley Garrett, Fleet Foxes, Dobacaracol, Hayley Westenra, H.I.M., Muse, Ingrid Michaelson, Antonio Breschi, Ludovico Einaudi, and Coldplay. I also like a variety of musicals and soundtracks.

Unlike many other journals on lj, I'm here not for the purpose of finding people interested in the same 'fandoms' as me (firstly, I watch little tv with three hours of practicing a day - or would Beethoven count as a fandom? :P), but rather for making lasting friendships with people who are like-minded from all over the globe. My goal is to one day move to Vienna (or at least to Europe) to further pursue my studies in music. I'm currently taking German language courses to enable me to do that. I would love more German speakers, as well as musicians on this journal! :)

Aside from practicing and researching (both of which I do incessantly), I enjoy being online, shopping, walking in wooded areas and also at night, eating sushi, hanging at Starbucks with homework or friends (or both), planning trips (even if I don't go anywhere), reading novels and poetry, collecting quotes & postcards, attending concerts and having deep conversations late into the night. I tend to have relatively high moral values, and am somewhere in the middle when it comes to politics. I'm also somewhat idealistic, though am grounded when making decisions, and will usually stick with them (as it takes me forever to come to a decision!).

Some of my favorite movies of all time include: Immortal Beloved, Copying Beethoven, The Last Unicorn, Amadeus, Impromptu, The Secret Garden, The Mists of Avalon, and Amelie.

My favorite books: Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre, Changing Heaven (my journal's namesake), The Last Unicorn, Phantom, Twelfth Night, Hamlet and Sense & Sensibility.
